You'll see the lavishly decorated State Apartments containing priceless furniture in glorious colours and St George's Chapel, home to the 14th Century Order of the Royal Garter, our senior chivalric order. *Admission to Windsor Castle, Christ Church and Stonehenge is included in the tour price. Erected between 3,000 BC and 1,600 BC, the stones were carried hundreds of miles over land and sea, while antlers and bones were used to dig the pits that hold the stones. Modern techniques in archaeology, and the series of recent digs, have helped to shape new theories about the stones, but their ultimate purpose remains a fascinating and enduring mystery. From London you need to depart from Waterloo Station. Trains run approximately every hour, the journey lasts about an hour and a half. By bus: Wilts & Dorset service 3 Salisbury station. By coach: Coaches run from Heathrow Airport and Victoria Coach Station in Central London. You will need to get off at Amesbury. From Amesbury you can either walk (about 2 miles away), catch a local bus, or get a taxi. Coaches run about 3 times a day and take about 2 hours to get there. You can buy tickets on the coach, at the coach station, or from ticket agents for National Express. Parking - Available Facilities Toilets: WC adapted for wheelchair users in large toilet block at far end of car park. Shop: Level access.
